Yes forever

Sister Angelina, Sister Rosaria, Sister Stella:
these are the three sisters who, on 19th March, consecrated themselves to the Lord forever, by pronouncing the perpetual vows according to the rule of life of our religious Family.

The Eucharistic Celebration, celebrated in the cathedral of Kyangtong (Myanmar), was presided over by His Eminence, Charles Bo, Cardinal Archbishop of Yangon, and attended by the sisters of the neighbouring communities, numerous priests and a good number of faithful as it was still allowed the community celebrations those days.

In the silence of the soul, in the offering of the heart and in the joy of singing, the three sisters lived an important moment of their consecrated life which is, even if not the goal but a fundamental stage in the journey of following Jesus, chosen as the ONLY NECESSARY in life to love and to serve with an unlimited trust and generous dedication.

We wish Sr. Angelina, Sr. Rosaria and Sr. Stella a joyful fidelity all throughout your lives!

Consecrate to the Lord forever

10 June 2020, the date on which we remember the canonization of our Father, St. Luigi, was a day of grace for our religious Family and in particular, for the Province of India: in fact we rejoiced for the gift of our four Indian sisters, Sister Ansuma, Sister Goreti, Sister Sangita and Sister Usha who, in love with divine beauty, uttered their "yes" forever before the Church. The Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by His Excellency Mons. Thomas D' Souza, the Archbishop of Kolkata and three other priests. Because of the pandemic, it was a very simple celebration in the chapel of the provincial house, together with the sisters of the community and of the novitiate.
It was a day of thanksgiving to the Lord for their witness of life totally given to God, to serve the brothers and sisters. Mother Cecilia Piacentini, in one of her letters, wrote: "Remember that on the day of your profession you promised to give: LOVE FOR LOVE, BLOOD FOR BLOOD, LIFE FOR LIFE".
In fact, the "yes" that our sisters have pronounced is based on the certainty of the gift of love that their Bridegroom Jesus has already made towards them.

Filled with the love of Christ, the sisters wish to share with us the prayer of their heart:
"Here I am, I am your servant, Lord" (Lk 1: 38). Thank you, Jesus, for your call of love with which you want me to learn from you the art of free and joyful gift in order to be an instrument of love of your Love in the midst of brothers and sisters. (Sr. Ansuma Islary)
"I will betroth you in faithfulness and you shall know the Lord" (Hosea 2: 20). In response to the Lord's faithfulness and His love for me, I would give myself completely, as He has given and constantly gives Himself and be immolated like Him, by Him and for Him. (Sr. Goreti Dung)
"My soul gives thanks to the Lord that I am blessed by his holy Name and I never forget his blessings, because my Saviour chose me as His servant”. (Sr. Sangita Ekka)

"The heart of each sister is like an altar to God." I want to sing and thank God for His love and His tenderness towards me. I experienced the serenity of the heart, the grace and love of Christ. (Sr. Usha Rani Singh).

We, the family of Father Luigi, rejoice in the Lord for the precious gift of these sisters. We accompany them with our prayers to become the sign of God for all humanity.

Spouse of Christ forever!

The province 'S. Gaetano 'of Africa recently experienced the joy of the final profession of three sisters :
- Sister Bernadette and Sister Elise said their definitive yes on 23 January 2021 in Kouvè (Togo);
- Sister Hortense made her perpetual vows on 6 February 2021, in Abidjan (Ivory Coast), in the village of Anonkoua-Kouté where she was born and brought up.

Both celebrations were preceded by a vigil prayer, together with the sisters of the neighboring communities, who lived with them, to pronounce their yes to the Lord.
The essential aspects of consecration in a religious Family have been expressed through three symbols:
- the Word of God and the Rule of life – following of Jesus and holiness in everyday life;
- the booklets 'You will recognize them by their fruits' - belonging to the Congregation and its mission of charity.
The two Eucharistic celebrations were respectively presided over by Mons. Isaac Jogues Gaglo, bishop of the diocese of Aného and by Cardinal Jean Pierre Kutwa of the diocese of Abidjan and made it beautiful and solemn by the participation of many people and also with their joyful songs.
The celebrants encouraged the sisters to continue their journey with fidelity, to live the gift of themselves in humility and full availability of their service, to be ambassadors of peace and witnesses of the Gospel.
The symbols, that each sister chose to express her definitive commitment to live, were significant.
- Sister Bernadette: the pumpkin that represents availability and service;
- Sister Elise: the baobab which expresses strength and perseverance even in difficulties and weaknesses;
- Sister Hortense: the palm plant that represents the total gift at the service of God and of the brothers and sisters.
The feast ended with the joy of all the people to thank the Lord for the gift of these sisters and to ask for the grace of fidelity for them; the final profession, in fact, is not a goal, but a stage in life that requires so many other generous yes.

A perpetual yes, multiplied by three !

"Bride of the Eternal King, receive the wedding ring
and keep your faithfulness to your Spouse intact,
so that He may welcome you into the eternal wedding ".

These are the words that the celebrant, His Eminence Cardinal João Braz de Aviz, spoke, calling by name Sister Maria Goretti, Sister Maria Theresa and Sister Natalia who, on July 3, pronounced their ‘yes’ in perpetual profession, thus confirming before the Church their will to consecrate themselves to the service of the Lord and of their brothers and sisters all throughout their lives.
Several sisters who were present in the general house in Rome and all the others, scattered throughout the world, made their closeness felt with fraternal affection and above all with prayer.
Sister Natalia, Sister Maria Goretti and Sister Maria Theresa now fully belong to the religious Family of which they are very dear daughters.

We wish each one a long life of fidelity, lived in joyful generosity and humble dedication.

We invoke upon them the blessing of Mary, the Mystical Rose and the intercession of our Father St. Luigi, asking that they may accompany them on the path of holiness.

Yes forever to God's faithfulness

Rome, 2 January 2022 - 22 January Lomé (Togo)
These two dates mark the day of the perpetual profession of Sister LEONARDA (in Rome) and of Sister PAULINE, Sister FRANCOISE and Sister FLORENCE (in Togo).
Their 'yes' to the Lord, which began in the early years of formation, is now pronounced before the Church and welcomed by the religious Family in which they are fully hinged: thus it has received the seal FOREVER, as a faithful response to the fidelity of God.
For Sister Leonarda, the distance from her homeland, Bolivia, was made up for by the affection of so many sisters, as well as by the great honor of having His Eminence, Cardinal João Braz de Aviz, as the main celebrant.
As is customary, Sister Florence, Sister Françoise and Sister Pauline, during the ceremony, each manifested to the assembly their commitment to follow the Lord through symbols: the ash to express the fragility of the creature placed in the hands of God, the lamp as an expression of the love that must enlighten the brothers and sisters even from afar, the clay pot which, in the hands of the great Potter, lets itself be modeled according to His project.
We invoke abundant blessings from the Lord on each of these four newly professed sisters.
We wish them that the feast they lived, with so many other sisters and with the joyful participation of the people, be a pledge of a long journey of charity, holiness, fraternity.
May the enthusiasm of self giving to the Bridegroom Jesus remain in their hearts and may they be bearers of goodness and serenity wherever the Lord calls them to serve Him in their brothers and sisters.
