Consecrated to God for Life

In the Mother house of Udine, on 19th December 2015, 7 sisters consecrated themselves to God forever through the profession of perpetual vows.

They are: Sr. Shanthi, Sr. Paula, Sr. Benedetta, Sr. Ester, Sr. Maria Bambina, Sr. Maria Goretti and Sr. Maria.

The Archbishop of Udine Mons. Andrea Bruno Mazzocato presided over the celebration and he exhorted the sisters saying; “The region of Friuli is in great need of the gift of your virginity, i.e. of your sacrifice of love for Jesus in offering your entire body, sentiments, affections, instincts and intelligence so that many persons can relish from it, and those who cling on to Christ in this way produces much fruit. This is your secret, the divine strength which comes from the love of Jesus enables you to reciprocate, it gives you the strength to make of your life a living sacrifice gifted to others in charity , till death i.e. without regretting, always.”

And now we share some of their unique and important reflections coming straight from the heart.

“Now I feel like a married woman. I get up in the morning with the thought that my Spouse is close to me. You are enough for me my Jesus.” (Sr. Paula)

I fully take delight in the Lord. Now am fully His and I place myself in his hands, I offer myself forever to Him and ask Him to bless my discipleship journey.” (Sr. Maria)

“I experienced an immense joy. With Mary I sang the Magnificat, because Jesus has accepted this humble servant as His spouse. I am sure that He lives in me and I in Him.” (Sr. Shanthi)

“I thank the merciful God because he has done great things for me, He created me to love Him and He loves me with an everlasting love. I shall love all my brothers and sisters with the tenderness of Jesus.” (Sr. Maria Goretti)

“I feel a real and immense joy; now I am a spouse of Jesus forever who came down even to me to espouse me. I desire to give thanks to all the sisters of the religious family because they have welcomed us with open arms and have accompanied us with their prayers.” (Sr. Maria Bambina)

“Thank you Jesus for your call to love that fills me with joy. I also thank the entire religious family. I want to be a testimony of love in everyday of my life.” (Sr. Ester)

“I decided freely to follow my Spouse Jesus till the end of my life. I thank all sisters here and those in paradise for their prayerful support which strengthened me.” (Sr. Benedetta)

Let us invoke on each of these sisters the blessings of Mary, Mother of Providence and of our beloved Father St. Luigi so that they may watch over their faithfulness and sustain them in their journey.

If you knew the gift of God

«If you knew the gift of God and who is the one who says to you:
"Give me a drink!" you yourself would have asked him and he would have given you living water». Jn. 4:10

FIRST PROFESSION OF SR. SHERON MIRANDA - Sorocaba, Brazil-15, September 2019

"I thank the Lord with all my heart for the grace of finding me on His journey, to make me experience His eternal love and predilection for sinners and to ensure that my littleness should be a sign and witness of saving many brothers and sisters that He Himself places on my path.
I thank the religious Family for the trust and closeness in prayer.
Thanks to the Province of Nostra Signora Aparecida for welcoming me, and the sisters of the formation community, and those of the Provincial House, the Mothers of Santa Terezinha Community, for their testimony, for all the opportunities they offered for my growth and formation. They were four beautiful, intense and very fruitful years, which helped me to discern the will of God in my life, and they encouraged me to pronounce my Yes to Him. The day of my first profession was a beautiful day: I felt as if each one of my sisters at that moment offered me on the altar to the Father along with His Son, to walk together on the road of Holy Love.
I thank you all for every gesture of affection and unity that you have manifested to me in different ways. Our Beloved Spouse is faithful, but I ask you to continue to pray for my fidelity and perseverance in self-giving, love and service in the mission that He asks me, now, in the Community of Santa Fe, in Argentina".

Sister Sheron

Together with Sister Sheron, we, the sisters of the Province of St. Luigi, joyfully celebrated her first YES in Sorocaba. We are grateful because her presence is a gift of Providence to our Religious Family and we thank the sisters of the Province of Nostra Signora Aparecida, especially those who have received her and offered formation and guidance. it is a great joy for the sisters of Uruguay: after 25 years, God in His mercy, has sent a new vocation in the person of Sister Sheron with her YES to the Lord.

We continue to pray and work for vocations.

With profound joy - St. Luigi Province.

Fascinated by the beauty of Christ

The novice, Tereza Barlescu, made her first religious profession on Saturday, 11 January 2020, during the Holy Mass, celebrated in Iasi, Romania, in the chapel of the "Holy Family" Delegation house. It is a reason for great joy for the whole Delegation, joy intertwined with gratitude towards the Master of the harvest for this generous "Yes", which has become a gift to the religious Family and to the Church. Let us invoke for Sr. Tereza, the gift of fidelity towards the Bridegroom and pray that other young women too, fascinated by the beauty of Christ, will have the courage to listen to His voice and to follow Him.

Here are the impressions of the 'bride':

At this moment I can only express my gratitude to God who can accomplish, through my smallness, what He wants; I express my gratitude to the religious Family who welcomed me in her womb as a daughter and accompanied my steps throughout the time of formation, guiding me with patience and love towards Jesus and towards the knowledge of the Congregation.

Words are not enough to describe this moment, but I can testify to the great joy, peace and serenity with which the Lord accompanied me in these moments full of emotion, but also of fear in front of the greatness to which He called me.
Aware of my fragility and littleness, I put all my trust in Him who always transforms the impossible into possible.
Recalling that we do not consecrate ourselves either to escape from the world, or to have a more comfortable and peaceful life, but to give ourselves to our brothers and sisters, to bring a ray of light through our presence which is not simply ours, but of God and of the Church, and all we offer is His gift.

"God, who inspired your will and started this good work in you,
carry it out until the day of Christ the Lord, and give you the grace to remain faithful and zealous towards Him."
(From the rite of profession)
