On 19th March, on the occasion of the solemnity of St. Joseph, our protector, six of our novices responded to the call of Jesus by receiving the religious habit and pronouncing their vows to the God Almighty in a solemn Eucharistic celebration at the novitiate community chapel at Barrackpore/India.
Rev. Felix Raj, S.J, vice chancellor of St. Xavier’s’ University presided over the solemn Eucharistic celebration. He preached an inspiring homily inviting the newly professed to fall in love with Jesus, by living their vowed life and charism of the religious family faithfully and fruitfully.
He also reminded the sisters with the words of St. Ignatius that “to find God in everything, and everything in God”.
Around 20 priests concelebrated the Holy Eucharist. The liturgy was beatified with prayerful and meaningful singing. The presence of parents and relatives of the newly professed enhanced our joy.
We, the sisters and the formees thank the entire religious Family, mother general, Sr. Ester and the councilors and all the sisters for the prayerful support that we have experienced on this auspicious day. We seek your special prayers upon these sisters that they may ever remain faithful to God following the foot-prints of Fr. Luigi.
